Almost everything on this page ends with one small fix. Start with what never happens.
What never happens: a blank board
Every tile always paints
No logo on file? The tile renders in your team colors and stays readable. Nothing shows up empty.
A blip never clears the board
If a connection drops, the board on stream keeps showing the last true state. Sales stay sold.
Updates land in place
Tiles flip where they stand. No scene swap, no flicker, no reload on stream.
Reconnect states, in plain words
The controller tells you how it is doing. Here is what each state means and what to do about it.
Connected
Taps land on stream the same second. This is normal running. Do nothing.
Reconnecting
The controller lost wifi and is getting it back on its own. Your taps are kept and squared with the board the moment it returns. Do nothing here either.
Offline
The wifi itself is down. Check the iPad's wifi first, then the router. The board on stream holds steady the whole time.
Common fixes
The board is not in my scene
Check three things: the browser source exists in this scene, its size is 1920 by 1080, and the whole board URL was pasted. The OBS guide walks each one.
The board looks stretched or cut off
Set the size inside the source settings: width 1920, height 1080. Type the numbers instead of dragging the corners.
The board stopped updating
In OBS Studio, right-click the board source, open Properties, and click Refresh cache of current page. In other studios, refresh the browser input. Then check that your controller shows Connected.
The helper cannot find OBS
Make sure OBS Studio is actually running, then follow the helper's guided screen. It shows the one switch to flip inside OBS and retries on its own.
The controller icon is gone from my iPad
Open your dashboard in Safari and add the controller to your home screen again. The pairing guide walks it in three steps.
